1. About this policy

Makeover Homes LLC ("Makeover Homes," "we," "us") provides this policy for the Makeover Homes public website. It explains information handling for our contact form, property and consultant searches, educational resources, and native HUD Consultant order and draft features.

Linked applications and services, including Makeover App and Makeover Estimator, may provide additional privacy notices for their own features. This policy does not replace those notices or describe every practice of a professional you work with.

2. Information you provide

  • Contact inquiries: first name, email address, and message, plus last name and phone number if you provide them.
  • Borrower and co-borrower details: names, email addresses, and phone numbers entered in a service request.
  • Property and project details: property address, selected services, funding and transaction type, loan or file number, appraisal status, estimated project-budget range, maximum loan amount, and notes, where entered.
  • Professional contacts: names, companies, emails, and phone numbers for loan officers, additional lender contacts, Realtors, and contractors, together with contractor-help selections.
  • Documents: contractor bids and home-inspection documents you choose to upload.

Provide another person's information or documents only when you have authority to do so. Please avoid including Social Security numbers, payment-card details, or other sensitive information that is not needed for your request in messages, notes, or uploads.

3. Property searches and consultant information

Google address and mapping services help suggest, validate, and locate a selected U.S. property. Address searches and selected-location information are transmitted to Google for these functions. We use the resulting address and coordinates to look for nearby consultants and evaluate coverage.

We check Makeover consultant information and availability. Where the external directory fallback is used, our server sends property coordinates, state, and a request reference to HUD Near Me to retrieve nearby non-Makeover consultant information. That lookup does not send your borrower details, service-request documents, or contact-form message to the directory. It is a server lookup, not a redirect of your browser to that service.

Results can include a professional's name, location, phone number, HUD identification, and directory details. The site distinguishes Makeover results from external directory results. A selected property's context may be carried into the order form; a finder match is not a consultant reservation.

4. Service requests and uploaded documents

The native order form sends submitted information to the Makeover operational application for fulfillment. That process can create or connect customer, professional, company, portal-account, project, and workflow records; support assignment and coordination; and generate service and internal notifications.

Professional lookup can use the name or email you enter to find and prefill existing professional information. Final submission resolves the relevant records again. Please check prefilled details before submitting.

Uploads are staged while you complete the request and can be retained with a saved draft. After submission, documents are associated with the operational project for authorized service use. They are not submitted as public Blog or Learn content. Only upload material that is relevant and that you are entitled to share with those handling the project.

The native HUD order form does not collect payment-card details or process a payment. Separate applications or later service arrangements may have their own payment processes and notices.

5. Save as Draft and resume links

Saving a draft stores incomplete form information, the current step, and references to staged documents. After the first explicit save, subsequent edits can save automatically to that draft. Saving a draft alone does not submit an operational service order.

A saved draft can be resumed for seven days from its first save. Autosave does not extend that window. You can copy a private resume link or request that it be emailed to the borrower email entered in the form. Anyone with the link may be able to access the saved information, so keep it private and use an email address you control or are authorized to use.

Expiration ends draft access; it is not a promise that every related system or business record is deleted at that moment. Once submitted, the request is handled as an operational order rather than an editable draft.

6. Technical information

Operating the site involves receiving technical request information, such as IP address, browser information, requested pages, request times, and error or security events. Our hosting and delivery providers also receive information needed to respond to requests. We use operational diagnostics, request references, and rate limiting to maintain the site and help prevent abuse.

Search terms you enter in features such as Learn, Blog, or professional lookup are processed to return results. Loading an externally hosted image or video also sends a request to its hosting provider.

7. How information is used and shared

We use information to respond to inquiries, locate properties, provide search results, save and restore work, process service requests, coordinate projects, maintain records, and protect site operation.

Information is made available as needed to Makeover staff and systems, service providers supporting these functions, and professionals involved in handling a request or project. The information involved depends on the task; a directory search and a submitted service order involve different disclosures.

Submitting lender or Realtor information can also place those professional contacts into existing Makeover relationship and outreach workflows. Service and account communications may be generated by the operational application. See the communications choices below.

Information may also be used or disclosed where reasonably necessary to meet legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, protect rights and safety, or investigate misuse. This policy does not grant anyone a right to use your documents for unrelated public publication.

8. Service providers and linked services

Providers supporting the site's functions include Microsoft Azure for hosting, database and file services; SendGrid for email delivery; Google for address and mapping functions; and HUD Near Me for the external consultant-directory fallback.

Images and videos may be served from Azure or Amazon Web Services media locations. Some training resources embed YouTube videos. The site also links to Makeover Estimator, Makeover App, Apple App Store, Google Play, Calendly scheduling, and professional or educational services. These providers receive information when you use their features or follow their links, under their own applicable privacy practices.

You can review Google's privacy policy, including YouTube, the Microsoft privacy statement, and the notices presented by other services you use.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

The site uses functional and security cookies to protect form submissions and maintain property, order, draft, and confirmation context. Browser state also helps keep navigation within an active order flow consistent. These features do not require you to sign in to the public website; links to a portal login lead to a separate application.

Third-party mapping and embedded-media features may use their own cookies or similar technologies. Their operation is governed by the relevant provider's notices and browser settings. Blocking cookies or provider requests can prevent address suggestions, media playback, or order and draft features from working.

10. Communications

A contact-form submission is emailed to Makeover staff so they can respond; the form does not send an automatic visitor reply. When you complete the Borrower step and continue to Property, an internal started-form notification contains only the primary borrower's first and last name. This does not submit an order. Draft-link emails are sent when requested. Submitted orders may lead to account, service, project-coordination, and professional-outreach communications.

You may ask us about communication preferences using the contact details below and use an unsubscribe option when provided in a marketing message. Necessary service communications may still be needed to handle an active request. Providing a phone number does not, by this policy alone, authorize promotional calls or text messages.

11. Retention and security

Except for the draft-access window described above, retention depends on the information and its purpose. We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Emails, submitted project records, and staged files may have different retention needs.

The application uses measures such as protected browser context, controlled server access, and scoped document handling to help protect information. No internet transmission or storage method is risk-free. Keep resume links private, use devices you trust, and contact us if you believe your information or saved order has been accessed improperly.

12. Your choices and privacy rights

You can choose not to submit optional information, stop before submitting an order, and manage browser cookies. Some information is needed to respond to or fulfill a request. Leaving without saving does not delete an earlier saved draft.

Depending on where you live and applicable law, including applicable U.S. state privacy law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, a copy of certain information, or information about its use and disclosure, and to make certain opt-out requests. The availability and scope of these rights depend on the law and circumstances; this policy does not claim that every law applies to every visitor.

Contact us to make a request or ask about available choices. We may need to verify your identity and authority before disclosing or changing information. Legal requirements, active service obligations, and permitted recordkeeping may limit what can be deleted or changed. Please do not send sensitive identity documents with an initial email.

13. Children's privacy

This site and its services are intended for adults involved in real-estate and home-renovation transactions, not for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the site, contact us so we can review the situation and take appropriate action.

14. Policy changes

We may update this policy as the site, services, or applicable requirements change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. We will provide additional notice where required by applicable law.
